Description

Donna Summer’s iconic ‘Love To Love You Baby’, was first released in The Netherlands in June 1975 as ‘Love To Love You’ but subsequently released worldwide in November 1975 as ‘Love To Love You Baby’. As 2025 marks 50 years since the release of her debut international hit, we proudly celebrate and recognise this milestone anniversary as we present another unique and career-defining box set. Donna gained prominence during the disco era of music, rightly earning the title “The Queen of Disco” and becoming one of the most successful recording artists of the 1970s and all-time best-selling female Artists, with her catalogue selling more than 130 million units and Billions of streams worldwide. This 40CD set features 72 singles released between 1974-2010 with a total playing duration of almost 1,700 minutes / more than 28 hours, contains more than 310 tracks including many of the ‘A’ and ‘B’ Sides, Alternate and Extended versions of the various international formats released, and for the first time includes Donna’s 41 solo charting UK singles released during that multi-Award-winning period. In addition to her UK singles, there are a further 17 non-UK single releases. 7 of Donna’s singles, including the duet with Barbra Streisand, reached the #1 position across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and The Netherlands. There are also 26 US Dance Chart #1 singles, as well as other duets with Brooklyn Dreams, Musical Youth, Bruce Roberts, Mickey Thomas and Matthew Ward. Most of the CD Wallets are double-sided, featuring various UK and International picture sleeves used at the time. The 64-page booklet with a new 20,000-word essay accompanies this set, featuring new and archive interviews with Donna, Pete Bellotte, Keith Forsey, Tom Moulton, Joe “Bean” Esposito, Harold Faltermeyer, Bruce Roberts, Greg Phillinganes, James Ingram, Michael Omartian, Brenda Russell, Pete Waterman, Debbie Harry, Dionne Warwick, Jimmy Webb, Olivia Newton-John, Maurice White and Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose amongst others. Bruce Sudano offers his ever-insightful views. The hits keep coming…they’re all here! ‘Love To Love You Baby’, ‘Could It Be Magic’, ‘Hot Stuff’, ‘Bad Girls’, ‘This Time I Know It’s For Real’, ‘Theme From ‘The Deep’ (Down Deep Inside)’, ‘I Remember Yesterday’, ‘MacArthur Park’, ‘I Don’t Wanna Get Hurt’, ‘Love’s Unkind’, ‘She Works Hard For The Money’, ‘Love Is In Control (Finger On The Trigger)’, ‘State Of Independence’, ‘No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)’ with Barbra Streisand, the groundbreaking #1 ‘I Feel Love’ and many, many more!
