Description
Partisan Records is releasing a limited-edition 7″ of Iggy Pop covers by Interpol’s Paul Banks, taken from the official soundtrack of the newly acclaimed film Sister Midnight (dir. Karan Kandhari). Banks puts his own distinctive spin on two Iggy Pop classics – “Sister Midnight” and “Gimme Danger” – both originally co-written with David Bowie and The Stooges, respectively. His interpretations capture the raw intensity and brooding allure of the originals while infusing them with his signature moody, atmospheric touch.
