Description
Repress alert. Last year, British experimental artist Twigs turned heads with her stunning debut EP and a series of videos. Since then, she’s changed her name to FKA Twigs, prepped a four-song EP, and signed with Young Turks. The label, home to The XX, SBTRKT, John Talabot, among others, release FKA Twigs’ EP2. Standout track is “Water Me,” produced by Kanye collaborator Arca. Quiet and ambient, yet still packing a sense of haunting urgency, it’s especially moving when she sadly (and repeatedly) confesses, “He won’t make love to me now…”.
