Deuce – 50th Anniversary

Deuce would make it Rory’s third fully self-penned album in a row, having written all of Taste’s second album On The Boards as well as the debut solo album Rory Gallagher. Deuce was originally released 28th November 1971 and recorded at Tangerine Studios in Dalston, East London, which had been built by the legendary British record producer Joe Meek. In contrast with his previous album, Rory Gallagher, where Gallagher tried for a precise, organised sound, Deuce was his first of many attempts to capture the energy of a live performance in the studio. 2CD and 3LP – 50th anniversary of Rory Gallagher’s sophomore solo album from 1971, a cut-down version of a deluxe boxset of the album is presented which will include a new mix of the original album, previously unreleased alternate takes and Radio Bremen radio session tracks. 5CD – 50th anniversary of Rory Gallagher’s sophomore solo album from 1971, a deluxe boxset of the album is presented which includes a new mix of the original album, twenty-eight previously unreleased alternate takes, a six song 1972 BBC Radio ‘In Concert’, and seven Radio Bremen radio session tracks. The package contains a 64 page hardback book with a foreword by Johnny Marr of The Smiths, unseen images, essays and memorabilia from the album recording.
